Il est bel et bon comme mari

I was looking through some actor photos, in search of good images for fic manips, and damn, you know who's hot? Lothaire Bluteau.

Kind of like a less-creepy Jeremy Irons, no? I only know him from Black Robe, which is a great movie if you like flicks that get called "bleak", "harsh", and (distressingly) "savage" -- not a great adjective to choose for a movie that stars Tantoo Cardinal and August Schellenberg. I haven't seen Jésus de Montréal, although I should. If only for some sweet sweet Lothaire Bluteau action.

Anyway, sexy as he is, he is still too young for what I'm after. I also thought of Yvon Ponton, but he has no pictures up that Google can find. If anyone knows of a good 50/60-ish actor, preferably French or Québécois, whose likeness could conceivably be misused for a stubborn but compassionate Jesuit in a fanfic, I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Jesus of Montreal is very worth seeing. One of my favorite Jesus movies out there.

Who's your fandom Jesuit?

Not a canon fandom Jesuit (alas), just an original character in my X-Men fic, The Aphanes (http://qlink.queensu.ca/~0fac/tocryabout/aphanes/), Father Gilles Visineau. He's my foil for Professor Xavier, in a way, since he runs a home for young mentally ill mutants. X-Men is sort of lacking in religious characters.

Anyway, I'd like to use pictures with that fic, but I won't bother if I can't cast a good Visineau.
