You know I've never once seen an episode of The Sopranos, in fact my first experience with "out of cable" TV was Battlestar Galactica (2.9! If you get that little joke I'll be thrilled.) And though I've heard lots of stuff about it, I don't know if I'd enjoy a movie about the mafia...I have sort of this thing about people who make money by harming others. I know, not exactly morally, just my wide-eyed-doe-faced-knight-in-shining-armour thing again.

In any case, yes... the human factor in an anti-hero is always what drives me to them. Ever since my parents made me read The Sandman in an attempt to get me to branch out in my genre-likes, I've had a facination with either bad people who do good things, or good people who do bad things.

Kill Bill had that, but it had the sort of pop-edginess to it that normally disinterests me (Tarantino does that a lot for me - case in point the awful Natural Born Killers) but the intellegent humour in it made me like it (though not so much anymore.)

But what can one say about Michael Caine, the man can act (so too can Mr. Freeman)... and he made the movie just that much better.

I got that too...and since I know almost nothing about The Scarecrow and who he is supposed to be... I had nothing but what I saw from the acting to go on. Perhaps you could enlighten me, as google seems to be failing me at the moment.
