Chapter 12, A Mess That Deserves a Big 'No', is up (up and atom!). Uh, let's see. Seeking behaviours! Civil rights issues! The Sacrament of Reconciliation! Jokes at John Turner's expense! This thing has it all.

(Read from the beginning)

Three more chapters left, plus the epilogue (which is mostly written). We're up to 48,100 words.

I actually enjoy being nagged about my projects, as I find it reassuring. I get emails about my Rheostatics website all the time asking me to update and I just sigh happily when I get them. And then I ignore the site for another few months.

So yay!

CHEO! Loeb's! Notwithstanding! I'm enjoying the weirdest things about this story, so much. The mindspace of a depressive, on the the other hand is far too easy to inhabit with your writing, and I can't precisely say I'm enjoying it, but it's very well done. (The only thing that could make this better is if Peter McKay and Belinda Stronach were wandering through it. Um. Or maybe that's just my sick mind.)

If I had the guts to brave Stronach and McKay's lawyers, I would. I've been sort of chary of using real political figures, hence my lame fakey PM. But then Trudeau and Chretien are mentioned, so I guess I'm inconsistent. (Marvel's the same way, though.)
